Public Works leaf pick-up season runs from October to December (or the first major snow fall, whichever is first).
Leaf Pick-Up Schedule:
Public Works will start at one end of town and work their way to the other as quickly and efficiently as possible. This means that your leaf pick-up will be roughly every other week.
The following rules apply to leaf pick-up:
- Do not pile leaves on any of the storm sewer inlets. This causes back ups in the system and as a result, flooding may occur.
- Place the leaves as close to the curb as possible. Large piles of leaves on the street are a potential safety hazard for vehicles and pedestrians.
- Yard Waste and branches cannot be mixed with leaf piles. Any leaf piles containing yard waste or branches WILL NOT be picked up by Public Works.
